The balm is olive oil, organic beeswax and lavender oil. That is the entire
formula: no silicone, no petroleum distillate, no artificial fragrance. The olive oil feeds the
fibers, the beeswax keeps moisture out, and the lavender is where the light natural scent comes

It feeds, and it slows the cracking
Leather dries out, goes matte and eventually cracks along the lines where it bends. Balm slows that
down by putting oil back into the fibers, which keeps them flexible. The visible part is the
surface coming back to life; the part that matters is happening under it.
A little goes a long way
You need very little at a time. Take a small amount on a fingertip or a soft cloth and work it in
with circles. The 50 ml tin lasts through years of ordinary use, because this is a

Open the tin and the balm is a pale yellow paste with the body of beeswax. The scent is lavender,

How to Apply Leather Balm
- Wipe the piece with a damp cloth and let it dry completely
- Test on a small hidden area first and look at the result
- Take a small amount of balm on a fingertip or a cloth
- Work it into the leather in circles, then wipe off anything that has not been absorbed
- Let it dry. The leather is fully dry within about 24 hours
An honest limit: this is a leather product, not a skin cream, and it is a
conditioner rather than a cleaner or a dye. It will not lift a stain, remove ink, or bring color
back to a scuff that has gone through the surface. On natural-finish leather the first application
usually deepens the color slightly, which is why the hidden-area test is worth the
minute it takes. Use it sparingly: too much balm sits on the surface and leaves a mark rather than
feeding anything.
