Our other Wooden Gift Box is
3.9" (10 cm) deep, and an enamel mug is taller than that. Rather than sell a box a
mug cannot go into, we cut a cube for it.
How it works
Put this box and a Leather Wrapped Enamel Mug in
the same cart and we place the mug inside the box before shipping. Ordered on its own, you receive
an empty box.
Sliding lid, wax seal, jute twine
The lid slides, and the box is finished with jute twine, a wax seal and a
leather clover tag. There is nothing to unscrew and nothing to break in transit.
Free name embossing
Up to 18 characters on a leather plate fixed to the box,
free.
Box Dimensions and Material
The box is plywood in a dark, nearly black finish. As a 5.9" cube it stands rather than lies,
which is why it works for a mug and does not work for a wallet: a flat object simply floats inside
it.

flat pieces rattle around in a cube. Like all our wooden boxes, this one is a

Is the mug included?
No. This product is the wooden box only. To have the mug arrive inside it, add the Leather Wrapped Enamel Mug to the same order and we pack it in before shipping.
Why is there a separate box for the mug?
Because our standard wooden gift box is 3.9" (10 cm) deep and a mug is taller than that. Rather than offer a box the mug cannot fit into, this one is cut as a 5.9" cube around it.
Can I fit two mugs in it?
No. The cube is sized for one mug, and a second will not sit beside it. For two, order two boxes.
Can I put something else in it?
You can, but flat items like wallets and folios look lost in a cube; they were the reason the other box exists in two flatter sizes. For anything that is not a mug, the Wooden Gift Box is the better shape.
Can I have a name on it?
Yes, free, up to 18 characters embossed on a leather plate attached to the box. Give the text with your order.
