Once the zipper is open, a leather divider splits the interior in two. Pro Max size phones fit in
either section with their case on. Put your phone on one side and your keys and glasses case on the
other, and the screen never shares a compartment with a key.
12 card slots inside the front flap
Undo the front snap and the flap opens like a wallet: 6 card slots on the left, 6 on the right, and
a flat pocket for cash in the middle. If you would rather not carry a separate wallet, Clutchbag
takes its place. The cards sit vertically and stay put when you close the flap.
A wrist strap
The leather strap on the side slips over your wrist. You carry the bag without gripping it, hand
free and relaxed. The strap is stitched to the body; it is not a removable handle.
Suede lining
The interior surfaces are lined in suede, so your phone and your glasses rub against something soft
rather than something hard. The lining is stitched to the leather, not glued.
A body that expands when the snaps open
There are two snaps on the sides. Closed, the bag stays slim and flat. Open them and the width goes
to 8.9" (22.5 cm) and the body expands to as much as 2.8" (7 cm). Empty, it takes up about as much
room as a jacket pocket; filled, it becomes a real bag.

Clutchbag is made from brown leather. The surface is not uniform: it darkens and lightens as the
light moves across it. There is contrast stitching along the edge and a debossed salamander logo on
the front. The zipper and snaps are finished in antique brass. Because the surface is never sanded
down, every Clutchbag carries its own grain, and no two are identical.
Full-grain leather: the topmost and densest layer of the hide, left unsanded and
unbuffed. What that means for your bag: instead of wearing out over the years it darkens, and the
small everyday scratches largely disappear when you rub them with a finger.

What Fits in the Clutchbag?

An honest limit: Clutchbag is not a briefcase. At 8.3" x 4.5" (21 x 11.5 cm) it
will not take letter size paper, a notebook or a tablet. It is for the phone, cards, cash, keys and
glasses case you carry through the day. One more thing: you can open the snaps and fill the body out
to 2.8" (7 cm), but at that point the bag no longer looks slim. If the slim profile is what you
like, keep the snaps closed and carry less.

Clutchbag Care
- The leather darkens and gains character over time. That is not a flaw, it is patina.
- Wipe it with a dry cloth once a month and apply leather balm a few times a year.
- Do not put balm on the suede lining; brush the dust off with a soft brush.
- Do not force the zipper. If the body is full while the snaps are closed, open the snaps first,
then pull the zipper.
- If it gets wet, let it dry on its own at room temperature. Radiators and hair dryers make
leather stiff.
