A leather gift set puts two to five pieces that belong together into one box: a wallet and a keychain cut from the same full-grain leather, a flask and a lighter that match, a phone case, card holder and watch band in one color. Three things separate a set someone keeps from a set that ends up in a drawer. The first is the leather. Full-grain leather keeps the top layer of the hide, so it darkens and softens with use instead of peeling, which is what the coated bonded or PU leather in low-priced department store sets does within a year. The second is use: every piece should earn a place in a pocket, on a desk or in a bag, not just fill a slot in the box. The third is the finish, a name stamped into the leather and a box worth keeping.

Every leather piece in our sets is handmade from full-grain calfskin tanned with a semi-vegetable method, stamped for free and covered for life against manufacturing defects, with repairs for life (see warranty and repairs).

Types of Leather Gift Sets

Most leather gift sets fall into a handful of types. Some we make, some we leave to others:

How to Choose a Leather Gift Set

Start with what the person already carries. Someone who pays with a wallet every day will use a wallet set; someone at a desk all day will use a notebook and a pen case; someone who heads outside on weekends will reach for a flask. For a person who lives on their phone, the Apple set is the one that gets used.

Ready-Made Gift Set or Build Your Own?

A ready-made set is the quick choice: the pieces are picked to work together and the box size is already right. If none of them fits the person, build your own gift set: choose at least three pieces from leather wallets, bags, watch and Apple accessories, clothing and leather accessories, add name stamping, pick the box and write a gift note. Every piece you add gets the set price, shown before you check out.

An honest limit: the wooden box comes in two sizes, small 5.9" x 9.8" x 3.9" (15 x 25 x 10 cm) and large 11" x 13" x 3.9" (28 x 33 x 10 cm). Larger bags, laptop cases and clothing do not fit, so a set that includes one of them ships in our QR-coded, wax-sealed kraft package instead. You can also order a wooden gift box on its own.

Name Stamping, the Gift Box and a Gift Note

Name stamping is free on every piece that takes it. Names are pressed into the leather in capital letters about 6 mm (1/4 in) tall; letters A to Z, numbers, spaces, ❤ and ( ) . - & @ / are accepted. Short fields like a lighter (5 characters) or a keychain (5) suit initials, while a wallet, a flask or the box lid takes up to 18. The wooden box closes with a sliding lid, is tied with jute and sealed with red wax, and your gift note is added to the order and sent with the gift.

Because a stamped piece is made for one person, it can't be returned for a change of mind, so check the spelling before you add the set to your cart. Unstamped sets follow our 14-day return policy, and the return label is on us.

How to Care for a Leather Gift Set

Leather in a gift set needs very little: wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, keep it away from direct heat and, a few times a year, work in a little leather balm with a soft brush, which is exactly what the leather care set is for. Each piece darkens and picks up small marks as it is used. That is patina, not a defect, and it is why no two sets look the same after a year.

Honest limits: the flask is stainless steel, not an insulated bottle, so it won't keep coffee hot; lighters ship empty for safety and fluid is not included; and the enamel mug must never go in a microwave, because it is steel under the enamel.
