Lined ivory paper
The pages are 110 gsm ivory paper and they are lined, which is heavy enough that
a fountain or gel pen does not bleed through to the other side. Each notebook holds
24 sheets, 48 pages. The covers are 300 gsm double-sided textured
card.
Pocket size
At 3.5" x 5.5" (9 x 14 cm), close to A6, each notebook goes in a jacket pocket, a
bag or a glovebox. This is the notebook you carry for the thought you get on a train, not the one
that lives on a desk.
Wrapped ready to give
The set arrives banded in black with a red wax seal, so it can be handed over as it is. At this
size and price it works as the small gift beside a larger one, or as the thing you buy three of
and keep two.
Notebook Dimensions and Material
The covers are matte and printed, each design its own scene, and the inside pages are a warm
cream ivory rather than bright white, which is easier to read under a lamp. Nothing about this set
is leather: the covers are textured card and the value is in the paper and the printing.

Is this a leather notebook?
No. The Craftsman Notebook set is paper: printed 300 gsm textured card covers and lined 110 gsm ivory pages. If you want a leather notebook, the A5 Leather Journal is a refillable leather cover and the Leather Notebook is leather bound with 80 lined sheets.
How many notebooks come in the set, and how do I choose the designs?
Three. There are seven designs in total, View, Hillside, Coast, Home, Field, Winter and Wind, and you tell us which three you want when you order. All seven do not come in one set; you receive the three you chose.
Are the pages lined?
Yes, all of them. Each notebook has 24 sheets, which is 48 pages, printed on 110 gsm ivory paper. The weight matters more than it sounds: at 110 gsm a gel or fountain pen does not show through to the back of the sheet.
How big is it?
Each notebook is 3.5" x 5.5" (9 x 14 cm), which is close to A6 and fits in a jacket pocket, a bag or a glovebox. It is deliberately pocket sized; for a notebook you write on at a desk, look at the A5 options instead.
Can I have a name printed on it?
Not on this set. Personalization is available across our leather pieces, but the covers here are printed card. For a notebook with a name on it, the Leather Notebook comes with free embossing and the A5 Leather Journal is hot stamped.
Small enough to be in your pocket when you need it, which is the only feature a pocket notebook
