Leather Cases and Straps for Apple Devices

Apple designs in aluminium and glass, which look superb for about a week and then spend years collecting fingerprints and micro-scratches. Leather is the opposite material: it starts plainer and improves with exactly the handling that degrades a metal finish. That is the whole argument for putting leather on the objects you touch most.

Leather on Devices: What It Actually Does

It takes the wear the device would take. A leather case absorbs the scuffs, drops and pocket grit that would otherwise land on an aluminium edge. The case ages, the phone underneath does not.

It improves rather than degrades. A silicone case looks worn after a year. Full grain leather in the same year has darkened where your fingers hold it, which is the point rather than the cost.

It changes the grip. Glass phones are slippery, and most drops start as a slip rather than an impact. Leather has friction, which is an unglamorous reason to buy a case and probably the most practical one.

The limit worth stating: leather adds bulk, and on the smallest devices that is a real trade. An AirPods case in leather is noticeably larger than the bare case, which is fine in a bag and less so in a tight pocket.

What Fits Which Device

The two MacBook pieces are worth separating. The Case is a sleeve: it holds the laptop and nothing else, and slides into a bag you already own. Exactly What Is in the Desktop Set

Desk sets are where photographs mislead, so here is the contents list rather than a description.

The Desktop Organiser Set contains four pieces: a leather laptop desk mat at 19.7" x 13", a leather mouse pad at 8.7" x 8.3", a leather coaster at 3.1" x 3.5", and a leather pen and cable organizer.

The important distinction: that is the set. If you buy the desk mat on its own as a separate product, the mouse pad and coaster are not included with it, even though they appear alongside it in photographs. Buy the set if you want all four; buy the individual pieces if you only want one. This is the single most common source of confusion in this part of the catalog and it is worth being explicit about.

Cards and Phones: Two Magnetic Options

Two pieces here put cards on the back of a phone and they are not the same product.

The MagSafe Card Holder is the simpler one: strong magnets, your most used cards, nothing else. The Maggy MagSafe Wallet is the larger version, with five slots holding seven to eight cards behind a magnetic flap that covers the slot mouths so nothing slides out as the phone goes into a pocket.

Both need a MagSafe compatible iPhone or a case with the magnet ring built in; on a plain case they will not hold reliably. And both share the same guidance about which cards belong there: chip cards are unaffected by these magnets, while low coercivity stripes, meaning most hotel keys, transit passes and access badges, should be kept elsewhere. One Honest Note on Personalization

Free name debossing applies across most of the catalog, but not to everything here. The MagSafe pieces, the AirPods case and the Apple Watch strap cannot be personalized. Their construction does not allow it, and we would rather say so on this page than have you reach checkout expecting it.

Care for Leather That Lives on a Device

These pieces see more hand contact than anything else we make, which is why they darken fastest and why they need the least intervention. A wipe with a dry cloth is usually enough. A balm two or three times a year keeps a phone case from drying at the corners where it flexes, and is in leather care.

Two things to avoid. Do not leave a leather cased phone on a car dashboard in summer, since heat stiffens leather faster than any other cause. And do not use alcohol wipes on a leather case, which strip the finish; the leather is on the outside precisely so the device inside stays clean.
