It is a single layer at around 1.5 mm with stitching along every edge. Fabric pads
fray at the corners and curl; a bonded pad delaminates. There is nothing here to come apart, which
is why this is the desk object most likely to outlast the computer.
Works with optical and laser mice
The grain of the leather gives a sensor something to read, so optical and laser
mice both track cleanly across it. It is a matte natural surface rather than a glossy one.
Suede underside
The back is the suede side of the hide, which grips a wooden or laminate desk
through friction. There is no rubber backing anywhere on it, which is what keeps it thin and what
keeps it leather all the way through.

Mouse Pad Dimensions and Material
The pad is brown full-grain leather with the natural grain visible on the surface. The area your

An honest limit: there is no rubber base on it. The grip comes from the suede
back, which holds well on wood and laminate but does not lock down the way rubber does; on a
glass desk you may need to pull it back into place now and then. It is also
