The body wrap closes with snaps, so it lifts off when the mug needs washing. The
leather on the handle is fixed and does not come off, which matters for how you
wash it (see below).

How to Wash It
- Unsnap the body wrap and take it off
- Wash the enamel by hand, with warm water
- Dry the mug, especially around the fixed handle leather, then snap the wrap back on
- Never the dishwasher and never the microwave
An honest limit, and it is the important part of this page: the mug is not dishwasher
safe, because the leather on the handle is fixed and cannot be removed from the heat and
the detergent. It must never go in a microwave, since the body is steel under the
enamel. Do not put it on a stove either: the enamel would take it, the leather will not. If you
want a mug you can throw in a dishwasher every day, this is the wrong one.
