The pocket takes 3 cards. A US card is a standard
3.37" x 2.13" (85.6 x 54 mm), which is why the number is 3 rather than a vague
few: the pocket is cut to that footprint with no stretch left over. Cards go in from the top,
and the curved notch on the front leaves the edge of the top card exposed so you push it out
with a thumb instead of digging.
It holds on any MagSafe phone
The magnet is MagSafe standard, not a proprietary fitting. It works on our own
iPhone Case and Rublet,
and equally on any other MagSafe case or bare MagSafe iPhone. Pull the phone out of a pocket and
the card holder comes with it.
Leather where your hand actually is
The back of a phone is the surface your palm rests on all day, and this puts leather there
instead of glass or silicone. It darkens where you hold it. Phones get replaced every few years;
this does not.
MagSafe Card Holder Material and Build
The Magsafe Card Holder comes in brown and black. Because the surface is never sanded down,
each one carries the grain of the hide it was cut from, with the embossed salamander on the front
panel and contrast stitching running down both sides. The top edge is cut in a curve, which is
the small detail that decides whether a minimal card holder is usable or not.
Full-grain leather: the topmost, densest-fibered layer of the hide, its
surface never sanded or thinned. Over the years it darkens rather than wears out, and the small
scratches of daily use largely disappear when you rub them with a finger.

What Fits in the MagSafe Card Holder?

An honest limit: 3 cards is the ceiling, not a starting point. Load all
three and there is no give left in the leather, so the holder can shift slightly on the back of
the phone; with two it sits tighter. There is no cash compartment, which also
means a folded bill is not an option here. If you want cards and cash in one piece,

range, and if you carry a real stack of cards, the

MagSafe Card Holder Care
- The leather darkens and gains character over time. That is not a flaw, it is patina
- Wipe it with a dry cloth once a month and apply
leather balm a few times a year
- Do not force a fourth card in. The pocket does not stretch back, and a stretched pocket
stops holding three properly
- If it gets wet, let it dry on its own at room temperature. Radiators and hair dryers
stiffen leather

How many cards does it hold?
Three, and three is the limit. A standard card is 3.37" x 2.13" (85.6 x 54 mm) and the pocket is cut to that with no slack, so a fourth will not go in without stretching the leather permanently. With three loaded the holder can move a little on the phone; with two it grips tighter.
Which phones does it work with?
Any MagSafe iPhone, and any MagSafe case. The magnet is the standard one rather than something proprietary, so it is not limited to our cases. Our own iPhone Case and Rublet are both MagSafe compatible, and it snaps straight onto either.
Will the cards fall out?
No. The card goes in from the top and the pocket is cut to grip it; the curved notch on the front is only there so your thumb can reach the card. The exposed top edge is the design working, not the pocket being loose.
Does cash fit?
No. There is no cash compartment, and with three cards in there is no room to slip a folded bill behind them either. If you want cards and cash together on MagSafe, Maggy is the wallet version; for a real stack of both, a bifold makes more sense than anything that hangs off a phone.
What is the difference between this and Maggy?
Size and intent. This one is a slim single pocket for 3 cards and nothing else, meant for the days you leave the wallet at home. Maggy is a MagSafe wallet: bigger, more compartments, and it works as your actual wallet rather than as a stand-in for one.
Can I have a name embossed on it?
Not on this product. Most of our leather pieces include free name embossing, but the MagSafe pieces are an exception. If a name is the point of the gift, look at the wallets and card holders instead.
Some days you need a wallet, and some days you need three cards and your phone; this is for
the second kind.
