The size of a palm. Ida is a small leather wallet made for people who carry very little. At 3.9" x 3.1" (10 x 8 cm) it sits in your hand, and because it folds vertically it goes into a jacket pocket standing up rather than lying across it. There are 3 card pockets and 2 cash compartments. Suitable for women and men.

Ida has 3 card pockets and 2 cash compartments. The cards you reach for daily stay together, and your notes sit in a section of their own rather than wedged behind the cards.

A vertical fold, upright in a pocket
Ida folds top to bottom. Unlike a horizontal wallet it slides into an inside jacket pocket standing up, so it does not lie flat across the chest and print through the fabric. At 3.9" x 3.1" (10 x 8 cm) it is one of the smallest wallets in the range.

Brown and black
Ida is made in 2 colors. The brown develops patina with daily use and darkens over time; the black holds its own in a formal setting.

Your name on it, if you want
Name embossing is free. You give the name when you place the order. If it is a gift, the wallet comes out of the box with their name already pressed into the leather.

Ida Wallet Dimensions and Material

The leather is matte and even, with contrast tan stitching along the edge. On a wallet this small the stitching is a larger share of what you see, so the edge work has nowhere to hide. Because the surface is never sanded down, every Ida carries the grain of the hide it came from.

Full-grain leather: the topmost, densest-fibered layer of the hide, its surface never sanded or thinned. Over the years it darkens rather than wears out, and the small scratches of daily use largely disappear when you rub them with a finger.

An honest limit: Ida is a small wallet at 3.9" x 3.1" (10 x 8 cm), so bills do not lie flat, they fold in half. The 3 card pockets are for everyday cards rather than a full set. If you carry more cards, look at the Colt card holder. If you carry coins as well, Colin has a pocket for them.

How to Pair the Ida

• Minimal everyday: Ida is for people carrying a few cards, and it does not announce itself in a pocket.

Ida Wallet Care

• The leather darkens and gains character over time. That is not a flaw, it is patina
• Wipe it with a dry cloth once a month and apply leather balm a few times a year
• Do not force a second card into a single pocket. On a wallet this small the pocket stretches and will not tighten back
• If it gets wet, let it dry on its own at room temperature. Radiators and hair dryers stiffen leather
