Everything has a place. Colin is a fully equipped leather wallet where your cards, your cash and your coins each go somewhere different. Change never travels loose among the cards; it sits in its own snapped pocket. Suitable for women and men.
Leather Wallet with Coin Pocket Features
A snapped pocket for coins
Colin's coin pocket closes with an antique brass snap under a hexagonal-cut flap,
and it is lined in suede. Coins stay in there rather than spreading through the wallet, and when
you open the flap they are laid out in front of you instead of buried at the bottom of a
pouch.
Four card pockets and a wide cash section
Colin has 4 card pockets and 1 wide cash section. Everyday cards
sit in one place and notes in another, which is the whole argument for a wallet over a card
holder.
An outer snap keeps it shut
There is a second snap on the outside of the wallet. Full, Colin does not spring open, and it does
not sit gaping inside a bag. That is the failure mode of most bifolds once they fill up.
Your name on it, if you want
Name embossing is free. You give the name when you place the order. If it is a
gift, the wallet comes out of the box with their name already pressed into the leather.
Colin Wallet Dimensions and Material
Colin comes in a single dark brown and folds vertically. There is contrast tan stitching along the edge, a hexagonal cut on the coin flap and antique brass snaps. Because the surface is never sanded down, every Colin carries the grain of the hide it came from.
Full-grain leather: the topmost, densest-fibered layer of the hide, its surface never sanded or thinned. Over the years it darkens rather than wears out, and the small scratches of daily use largely disappear when you rub them with a finger.

What Fits in the Colin?
- Cards: 4 pockets, for the ones you use daily
- Bills: in the wide cash section, folded
- Coins: in their own snapped pocket
- ID and driver's license: in the card pockets
- Receipts and paper: they fit, but they swell the cash section
An honest limit: Colin is a fully equipped wallet. Because cards, cash and coins all live in it, a loaded Colin sits fuller than a slim card holder and it is not a minimal piece. If you only carry cards and want something thin, Colt is the flat card holder. If you want a coin pocket in a much smaller format, Zeno has a zipped one.
How to Pair the Colin
- Every day: Colin travels in a jacket pocket or the inner pocket of a bag, where its depth is not a problem.
- With a bag: if you carry a hand or belt bag like Rootbag, Colin means you are not also carrying a separate coin purse.
- The Semender pairing: use Colin with Satchelbag, where the same antique brass hardware runs across both.
Colin Wallet Care
- The leather darkens and gains character over time. That is not a flaw, it is patina
- Wipe it with a dry cloth once a month and apply leather balm a few times a year
- Empty the coin pocket regularly. Weight in one corner is what pulls a wallet out of shape
- If it gets wet, let it dry on its own at room temperature. Radiators and hair dryers stiffen leather
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the coin pocket close?
With an antique brass snap under a hexagonal-cut flap, and the pocket is lined in suede. Nothing falls out when the wallet is turned over, and opening the flap lays the coins out in front of you rather than making you dig into a pouch.
How many cards does the Colin hold?
Four pockets, sized for the cards you use every day rather than a full set. That is deliberate: with a cash section and a coin pocket in the same wallet, adding more card slots would turn Colin into something you cannot close.
Is it slim?
No, and it does not pretend to be. A wallet that carries cards, notes and coins together sits fuller than a card holder, which is the trade you make for not carrying three things. For a thin option in the same leather, Colt is the flat card holder.
What is the outer snap for?
To keep the wallet closed when it is full. Most bifolds spring open once they fill and end up sitting agape in a bag. The second snap on the outer face holds Colin shut regardless of how much is inside it.
Do bills lie flat?
No, they fold. Colin is 3.7" x 4.1" (9.5 x 10.5 cm) closed and a US bill is 6.14" (15.6 cm) long, so notes go into the wide cash section folded once. For flat bills you want a long wallet such as Capo or Rocco.
Can I have my name embossed on it?
Yes, and it is free. You give the name when you place the order and it is pressed into the leather rather than printed on top, so it ages with the surface. Note that a personalized wallet cannot be returned for a change of mind.
Colin is the wallet for people who are tired of hearing coins hit the floor.
How can I track my order?
When your order ships, we email you a shipping confirmation with your tracking number and a tracking link. You also get an email at every stage until it reaches you. You can check the status any time on our Track My Order page, or under your account if you signed in when you ordered.
These emails go automatically to the email address entered with the order, and we can't stop them for a single order. If you are sending a gift and want to keep the surprise, enter your own email address and phone number at checkout.
When will my order ship, and when will it arrive?
Each piece is prepared after you order: your order is prepared and shipped within 6 business days, then it is usually delivered within 3-5 business days. The dates for your order are shown on the product page before you buy. Weekends and public holidays are not counted.
Orders ship with UPS, FedEx or DHL. We email your tracking number on the day your order ships. A parcel doesn't always leave the carrier's facility right away, so the tracking may take a little while to show movement; please check again later.
How much is shipping?
The shipping cost for your order is shown at checkout before you pay, and most orders ship free. There are no extra shipping charges after you pay.
Do you accept returns and cancellations?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to request a return of a piece without personalization; it must come back unused, in its original condition and packaging. Pieces stamped with a name are made for one person, so as stated in our Refund Policy they can't be canceled, returned or exchanged. To start a return or a cancellation, write to us at contact@semender.info or through our contact page.
How do I personalize my order?
On the product page, type the name you want in the "Add the name you want stamped (optional)" box below the color options. Name stamping is free. The limit is 5 to 18 characters depending on the piece, spaces included, and the counter in the box shows each piece's limit.
All letters A to Z, the numbers 0-9, ❤ and the marks ( ) . - & @ / can be stamped; other marks and emoji can't. Logos are stamped only on corporate bulk orders. Names are stamped in capital letters, 6 mm (about 1/4 in) tall. Personalized pieces can't be canceled, returned or exchanged.
For the full details, see our Personalization Guide.
Is your leather real?
Yes. Our leather pieces are made from full-grain calfskin, semi-vegetable tanned. On our waxed canvas models, leather is used together with waxed canvas. The leather darkens and gains character as you use it.
What the labels on leather actually mean is explained in Full-Grain, Top-Grain and Genuine Leather.
My order is a gift. What should I do?
Write your message in the order note on the cart page and we add it to your order. To make the gift extra special, add a wooden gift box from the product page, choose one of our ready-made gift sets, or put several pieces together on Build Your Own Gift Set.
How do I care for leather, and how often?
Leather is a natural material: every piece can carry different tones and marks, it darkens as you use it, and it can scratch in everyday use. These scratches, and marks left by water, can be treated with our Leather Balm.
To use the balm, first wipe the piece with a damp cloth and let it dry completely. Take a small amount on your finger or a soft cloth, work it into the leather in small circles, and wipe off the excess. If it's your first time, try it on a small hidden area; the balm can darken the leather slightly at first, which is normal.
Once a month is enough for a piece you carry every day, and every two to three months for pieces you use less. For stains, see What to Try on a Leather Stain.
