Inside there are 2 clear pockets. Registration goes in one, insurance card or license in the other. You can show a document without taking it out, and the clear face protects both from the wear that folded paper picks up in a glove box.

Cut to document size
The holder measures 4.7" x 3.3" (12 x 8.5 cm) closed and is cut around the documents rather than around a car. The bifold form keeps it flat in a glove box, a door pocket or an inside jacket pocket.

It fits any vehicle
This is made for the paperwork, not for a particular make of car, so it goes in any glove box. The brown sits well against wood and beige interior trim; the black disappears into a dark one.

Your name on it, if you want
Name embossing is free. You give the name when you place the order. For someone who has just passed their test or just bought a car, it comes out of the box with their name already pressed into the leather.

Registration Holder Dimensions and Material

It is made in brown and black. There is a salamander worked into the lower right corner of the outer face and hand stitching along the edge. Because the surface is never sanded down, every holder carries the grain of the hide it came from.

Full-grain leather: the topmost, densest-fibered layer of the hide, its surface never sanded or thinned. What that gives you here: it holds its shape through the temperature swings inside a parked car, and over the years it darkens rather than wearing out.

An honest limit: this is a document holder, not a wallet. There are no card slots and no cash section. The clear pockets are sized around card-format documents, so anything printed on a full letter-size sheet has to be folded to fit, and it is not built for a thick stack of paperwork. If you want cards and cash in the same leather, look at Classico or Aziz.

Care

• The leather darkens and gains character over time. That is not a flaw, it is patina
• Wipe it with a dry cloth once a month and apply leather balm a few times a year
• A parked car in summer gets far hotter than a room. The leather holds its shape, but keep the holder out of the glove box door and off the dashboard in direct sun
• If it gets wet, let it dry on its own at room temperature. Radiators and heater vents stiffen leather
