genuine leather flap with a turn lock at its center: to close the bag you do not reach for a

Evabag's flap is a single piece of genuine leather with rounded edges. The turn
lock at its center opens and closes in one motion. The lock and the other metal parts
are made from zamak, so they do not rust or tarnish over time.
14.6" x 9.4" body, 4" gusset
Evabag is 14.6" (37 cm) wide and 9.4" (24 cm) tall. Thanks to
its four-inch gusset, a notebook, a bottle and a makeup bag sit side by side. The body is waxed
canvas, so in sudden rain water beads on the surface and wipes away before it soaks through.
One main compartment, one zip pocket
The interior is a single lined compartment, so you see everything when you open
the bag. There is a zip pocket on the side wall; keys, cards and your phone stay
there instead of getting lost at the bottom.
Four colors, two leather tones
Evabag is made in navy blue, khaki green, mustard and black canvas. On the first three colors the
leather parts are brown, while on the black canvas the leather is
black as well. So the black is a single-tone bag and the other three are
contrasting.

The handles are 27.5" (70 cm) long with an 8.7" (22 cm)
shoulder drop. That is enough to carry the bag both in your hand and on your shoulder. Waxed
canvas softens and creases with use while the leather parts darken: after six months Evabag looks
different than it did on day one, and that is exactly what should happen.

An honest limit: Evabag has no removable shoulder strap and is not suited to
crossbody wear. It is carried by the handles, in your hand or on your shoulder, and the 8.7"
shoulder drop can feel tight over a heavy coat. If you want to carry it crossbody, take a look at

Evabag Care
- Do not machine wash the waxed canvas, wipe it with a damp cloth. Washing strips the wax layer
- The canvas fades and creases over time; that is the nature of the fabric
- Evabag's leather parts darken and gain character over time. This is not a flaw, it is patina
- If it gets wet, let it dry on its own at room temperature; do not set it on a radiator
- Apply leather balm to the flap and handles a few times a year

Does the Evabag have a shoulder strap?
It does not. Evabag is carried by two leather handles, in your hand or on your shoulder, with no removable shoulder or crossbody strap. The handles are 27.5" (70 cm) long with an 8.7" (22 cm) shoulder drop. If you want crossbody wear, choose one of our models with a removable strap.
What is the difference between the Evabag and the Miabag?
Both are made from the same waxed canvas and the same leather, and both come in the same four colors. The difference is in two places: Evabag's flap design is different, and Evabag has no removable shoulder strap. Choose the Miabag if you want to carry it crossbody, the Evabag if you want a flapped, more structured bag.
Do an A4 notebook and a tablet fit in the Evabag?

What is the hardware made of, and does it tarnish?
The lock and the other metal fittings are made from zamak. Zamak does not rust and does not tarnish in normal use. Still, wiping the lock with a dry cloth when it has been left damp helps keep the surface bright.
Can the Evabag be embossed with a name?
Yes, you can have a name embossed on the leather flap free of charge. Just specify the name you want when placing your order. If it is a gift, the bag comes out of the box with that person's name on it.
