A gusseted body, and bills that lie flat
Marcie is built with gussets, so the sides open like an accordion. That is what stops it swelling into a brick when it is full. There are two wide compartments, and at 7.6" (19.3 cm) long they take bills flat and unfolded. The same compartments make room for a phone.

Eight card slots
Marcie has 8 card slots, four on each inner face. Every card sits in its own place, so you find the one you want at a glance rather than fanning a stack.

A zipped coin compartment in the centre
Down the middle of the wallet there is a zipped coin compartment. The metal zip keeps change out of the other sections, and nothing falls out when the wallet is turned over.

A magnetic envelope flap
The curved envelope flap closes magnetically. There is nothing to press and nothing to unclip; bring the flap close and it seats itself. Carried in hand, the envelope silhouette is what makes it read as a clutch rather than a wallet.

Your name on it, if you want
Name embossing is free. You give the name when you place the order. If it is a gift, the wallet comes out of the box with their name already pressed into the leather.

Marcie Wallet Dimensions and Material

Marcie comes in a single dark brown. Because the surface is never sanded down, every one carries the grain of the hide it came from. There is an embossed salamander on the curved flap and contrast stitching along the edge, which follows the curve rather than cutting across it.

Full-grain leather: the topmost, densest-fibered layer of the hide, its surface never sanded or thinned. Over the years it darkens rather than wears out, and the small scratches of daily use largely disappear when you rub them with a finger.

• Bills: in the 2 wide compartments, flat and unfolded
• Coins: in the zipped centre compartment
• Phone: fits, without a case or with a slim one
• ID and driver's license: in the card slots

An honest limit: Marcie is a wide clutch, not a slim wallet. It is carried in hand or in a bag rather than in a pocket, and at 7.6" x 3.9" x 1.4" (19.3 x 10 x 3.5 cm) it will not disappear into a small one. A phone fits, but a thick protective case will not; the compartment is sized for the phone itself. If you want the same layout in a smaller format, Mini Marcie is the compact version.

How to Pair the Marcie

• On its own: for an evening out, Marcie is enough by itself. Phone, cards and keys go in, and the envelope flap reads as a clutch rather than as a wallet in your hand.

Marcie Wallet Care

• The leather darkens and gains character over time. That is not a flaw, it is patina
• Wipe it with a dry cloth once a month and apply leather balm a few times a year
• Do not overfill the gussets. They are there to hold shape, and stretched leather does not come back
• If it gets wet, let it dry on its own at room temperature. Radiators and hair dryers stiffen leather
